110 years old Snr. Apostle Pa. Opuede U. Onimiyenmene Installed as Ibe-Okosuwei of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom

August 5, 2026, began like every other day in the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, but it soon became a historic occasion as sons and daughters of the kingdom gathered in their numbers at Okerenkoko Federated Community for the installation and formal announcement of Snr. Apostle Pa. Opuede U. Onimiyenmene as the Ibe-Okosuwei of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom.

The event attracted traditional rulers, chiefs, community leaders, and indigenes from across the kingdom, all united in celebrating a significant moment in the cultural and traditional history of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Delivering the opening address, High Chief Mosco Johnny, Chairman of Okerenkoko Federated Community, warmly welcomed members of the Traditional Council of Chiefs, distinguished guests, and the sons and daughters of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom who had gathered for the occasion.

His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II, Aketekpe Agadagba, the Pere of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, was represented by High Chief P. T. Heavens (JP), the Pere Gbolo of the ancient Gbaramatu kingdom, who formally installed and conferred the revered title of Ibe-Okosuwei on Snr. Apostle Pa. Opuede U. Onimiyenmene.

Speaking on behalf of the Traditional Council of Chiefs, High Chief Dr. Godspower Gbenekama (JP), Fiyewei of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, emphasized the significance of the Ibe-Okosuwei title and its vital role in preserving the customs, values, and cultural heritage of the kingdom.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the chief organizer of the program, Hon. George Ekpemupolo, who expressed profound appreciation to all attendees for their support and presence. He also offered prayers for God's protection and safe journey for everyone who participated in the historic event.

The installation of Snr. Apostle Pa. Opuede U. Onimiyenmene as Ibe-Okosuwei marks another important chapter in the rich history of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom and reflects the kingdom's continued commitment to preserving its cherished traditions and cultural identity.
