Gbaramatu Chief Introduces Media Literacy to Gbaramatu School ( Kurutie Community)

The Godfrey Tare Pondi Educational Foundation is pleased to announce a landmark educational intervention project aimed at improving learning conditions, empowering teachers, and expanding access to digital education in Kurutie Community.


In line with its commitment to educational advancement and community development, the Foundation will undertake a comprehensive school renovation and capacity-building program from May 27–29, 2026, bringing meaningful and lasting improvements to the educational sector in the community.


Key Project Components


1. School Infrastructure Enhancement


Renovation of classrooms to create safer, more comfortable, and conducive learning environments.

Repair of damaged roofing structures and improvement of school facilities.

Upgrading of the school playground to provide a better recreational space for pupils.


2. Educational Quality Improvement


Structural and learning-environment upgrades designed to support effective teaching and enhance students’ academic performance.


3. Teachers’ Seminar and Capacity Development


A specialized training program for teachers focused on modern teaching techniques, classroom management, leadership development, and professional growth.

Equipping educators with practical tools and skills to improve learning outcomes.


4. Distribution of Educational Support Materials


Provision of textbooks, writing materials, school uniforms, and sandals to students.

Supporting academic excellence while reducing barriers to learning for pupils and families.


5. Digital Learning Advancement


Donation of desktop computers to the school to promote digital literacy and introduce technology-driven learning opportunities.

Enhancing students’ and teachers’ access to modern educational resources and computer-based instruction.


6. Six-Month ICT Training Program


Beginning in June 2026, the Foundation will launch a six-month Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training program aimed at equipping students and community members with essential computer and digital skills required in today's technology-driven world.


This initiative reflects the vision, commitment, and passion of Chief Godfrey Tare Pondi, whose dedication to education and youth empowerment continues to create opportunities and inspire positive transformation across communities.


Together, we are doing more than renovating school facilities—we are investing in the future, empowering educators, inspiring students, and creating pathways to digital learning and sustainable development for generations to come.
