KENYANGBENE COMMUNITY ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE COUNCIL TO LEAD DEVELOPMENT AGENDA

The people of Kenyangbene Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom have elected a new Executive Council to oversee the affairs of the community and drive development initiatives aimed at fostering unity, progress, and good governance on the 26th of May 2026.
The newly elected leadership, drawn from the constituent communities of Nehi-Bralabor, Gbajor, and Oboro, emerged following a community electoral process that reflected the collective aspirations of the people for effective representation and sustainable development.
Heading the new administration is Mr. Ojogun ThankGod of Nehi-Bralabor, who was elected as Executive Chairman. He will be supported by Mr. Tonjoh Izonfade of Gbajor as Executive Vice Chairman, while Pastor Saniyo Samuel Yerimini of Oboro assumes the position of General Secretary.
Other members of the newly constituted Executive Council include Comrade John Pere (Public Relations Officer), Mrs. Gbaranwei Vivian (Treasurer), Mr. Eferusuoa Kokobakeme (Financial Secretary), and Ms. Peter Glory (Assistant General Secretary).
The council also features Mr. Douglas Aganbi Emmanuel as Assistant Public Relations Officer, Engr. Femi as Social Secretary, Ms. Sinwah Caroline as Adviser, Ms. Nafami Comfort as Chief Whip, and Engr. Ukuenebi Benjamin as Internal Auditor.
Residents and stakeholders have expressed optimism that the new leadership will strengthen community cohesion, address pressing developmental challenges, and promote the welfare of all indigenes and residents of Kenyangbene Federated Community.
Speaking after the announcement of the results, community members congratulated the newly elected executives and urged them to uphold transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The inauguration of the Executive Council is expected to mark the beginning of a new chapter in the administration of Kenyangbene Federated Community, with expectations high for impactful leadership and accelerated community development.
