As preparations continue for the forthcoming election of the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS), an Presidential aspirant, William Stephen Ezoukumor, has pledged to promote inclusive leadership and introduce technology-driven programmes if elected to office.

Ezoukumor, who hails from Elei-Idumu in the Okerenkoko Federated Community, said his decision to contest was motivated by a desire to serve Gbaramatu students and contribute to the growth of the association.

Speaking during an interview, the aspirant identified accommodation during NAGS events as one of the challenges facing the association, promising to prioritize the issue if elected.

He also revealed plans to introduce technology-related programmes aimed at empowering students, noting that his background in Computer Science would be an advantage in driving such initiatives.

On transparency and accountability, Ezoukumor said he would ensure proper documentation of activities and decisions taken while in office.

"I will keep records of everything done while in office if elected," he said.

The aspirant further stressed the need for NAGS to play a greater role in preserving Gbaramatu culture and heritage through student education and cultural activities.

According to him, "NAGS should educate students on our culture and host fun and cultural events."

Speaking on his ability to combine academic responsibilities with public service, Ezoukumor expressed confidence that he could effectively manage both.

"Luckily for me, my school is in Ozoro, so I can balance my academics and responsibilities that come with office," he stated.

Highlighting his leadership experience, he said he had served as a link between over 200 students in his department and the lecturers as well as the Head of Department. He added that his responsibilities included presenting students' complaints, following up on solutions, organizing departmental seminars, resolving disputes, and mobilizing students for departmental activities.

Ezoukumor also disclosed that his leadership style is inspired by Engr. Ebikonde Victor Sokoto, whom he described as a leader who listens and provides feedback.

When asked why students should trust him with their mandate, the aspirant promised an all-inclusive administration that would accommodate the interests of all Gbaramatu students.

"I promise an all-inclusive government," he said.

Addressing undecided voters, Ezoukumor urged students to vote according to their convictions.

"Follow your heart and vote your conscience," he advised.
